20/09/18 | Week 4 Yeoh Xiao Shi (0331577) Interactive Design Project 1 - Landing Page Design LECTURE Lecture 4 : Type for Screen 20/09/18 (Week 4) In this week class, we were given a lecture on type for screen. With the popular web font services like Adobe Typekit, Google Font, and Hoefler & Co.'s Cloud nowadays, we can presenting beautiful type on our website. Unlike the old days, there were limited choice of typefaces such as Arial, Verdana, Helvetica, Georgia and Times New Roman. However, thousands of typefaces in the modern days make the designers life difficult as they need to choose and combine the typefaces. Besides that, we were also taught on web safe fonts, the fonts that are pre-installed by most of the operating system. There are total 15 total web safe fonts which are Arial, Helvetica, Times New Roman, Times, Courier New, Courier, Verdana, Georgia, Palatino, Garamond, Bookman, Comic Sans Ms, Trebuchet Ms, Arial Black and Impact. 28/08/18 - 18/09/19 | Week 1 - Week 4 Yeoh Xiao Shi (0331577) Design Research Methodology Proposal LECTURE Lecture 1 : Briefing on the module (Week 1)  28/08/18  In the first class, Ms Jinchi began the class by giving us a short brief on the module outline and explain what we will be doing in the upcoming weeks. Later on, she gave us a lecture on what is research about. I got to know that research is the study of materials as well as sources in order to establish and reach new conclusions and it is important for us as a student to expands our understanding and knowledge in our academic field. Before the class end, we were told to confirm the field of interest for our proposal with the research problem and research topic as for the presentations in next week class. 30/08/18 - 18/10/18 | Week 1 - Week 8 Yeoh Xiao Shi (0331577) Interactive Design Exercises LECTURE Lecture 1 : Introduction to the module 30/08/18 (Week 1) In the first class, Mr Shamsul started it by giving us a brief on the module outline and explained what this class is about as well as what we will be learning in the upcoming weeks. We were also told that this will be a very technical class and Adobe Dreamweaver will be used in the class most of the time. Before the class end, we were asked by Mr Shamsul on what is UX and UI as well as the history of the web. Then, we had a short discussion on it.
